But that’s the plan.

Any Appeal or Reversal Is irrelevant if he’s convicted at THIS “trial”. The Judge, Prosecutors, and DA all know it. That’s why Biden sent Colangelo, the number three man in the Justice Department, to New York to help Prosecute the “Case”. They really don’t care if it fails on Appeal or is Reversed. All they need is SOME kind of felony conviction so as to hang that on Trump during the Campaign.

Heck. They could even theoretically send him to Rikers for anywhere from 4 to 6 years depending on how the “Judge” decides if convicted.

Any Appeal decision or Reversal would occur well after the Election and after the damage is already done. That’s why they don’t care if they shred the Constitution and break every legal precedent and requirement in the books.

If you REALLY want to stretch the truth and say it was used to affect the Presidential Campaign, which every Procecution and Defense witness except Cohen denied, that is a Federal Crime that is not only a misdemeanor and past the Statute of Limitations, but can only be Prosecuted in Federal Court, not State Court. So Bragg has no authority to Prosecute that.

Hence, why the Judge instructed the jury to come up with a crime of their own to convict him of, and gave them three examples of some options they MIGHT possibly be able to come up with, even though none of those were ever specifically articulated during testimony except possibly the Accounting “error”.
