Not sure how it works with football, but in basketball. A player can come on campus and workout with the team in front of the coaching staff (and fans). There were about 60 of us on hand to watch Sustic and Beyers workout.

Hopefully none of you are conducting the proverbial $100 handshake:D with these players when they are worked out on campus. Fans at these sessions is not a great idea and MU’s history with this is very sordid.

when I was a student in the 80's they used to slide the money under the door in an envelope to my friends in Hodges Hall

Football is different. Unless things have changed recently, recruits can't workout for coaches except at a football camp.
