This article is an unbelievably bad look for the United States.

"It raises questions about the quality of the training the Ukrainians received from the West and about whether tens of billions of dollars’ worth of weapons, including nearly $44 billion worth from the Biden administration, have been successful in transforming the Ukrainian military into a NATO-standard fighting force."

When the press is openly reporting on the “difficulties” of the counteroffensive, you know it’s bad. The talk is going ‘round US troops might get sent in for support. Seems like a few (duke & Hokies) still support the conflict, would us sending troops in change that support?
The Halliburtons of the world will be licking their chops. Rebuild the war torn country and US troops get to provide the protection. Yep.

You think this conflict makes Russia look more powerful?
Well, let's say not more powerful but they control about a third of Ukraine now. That includes most access to the ports and shipping access.

So if they walk away with that in some kind of agreement who won? It will also essentially stop Ukraine from ever joining NATO

Finland and Sweden are now or will be in NATO. A lot of the NATO nations have actually boosted their military spending and the alliance is stronger. Russia has 200k or more injured or killed in combat. Also, Russia has fought to a draw with the poorest nation in Europe.

They have gained some land but at a steep price. And, most of that land was already controlled by Russian separatists before the invasion.

Russia hasn't truly let slip the dogs of war. Everyone knew this was going to be a war of attrition that would drag on from day one. If Russia ends up getting what they want, it makes them look as powerful as we all thought from the very beginning. Unfortunately, it's yet another expensive mi$take we continue to make with our foreign policy.

Nobody thought this was going to play out like it has. Russia was thought to have complete control in a matter of weeks. They have shown serious military problems in Ukraine and Syria. I don't see how anyone could say this honestly makes Russia appear to be a powerful military nation.

Some of the NATO nations have floundered as well. And, they have for decades. Let's all just be honest, we are conducting a proxy war in Ukraine and the idea of putting Ukraine into NATO just never made sense. Here we are.

They are getting a lot of want. Control of the southern part of Ukraine and the ports. Yes, at a heavy cost, but so has Ukraine. In addition, the admission of Ukraine to NATO is nearly dead at this point.

If Biden had let Russia take Ukraine without trying to help, you would have simply talked out the other side of your lying mouth and called him weak and a Putin enabler. Shut up your whining.

You're an idiot. Notice Russia is having a tough go at it, unlike under Obama and Bush. Hopefully you can do a meet and greet with your orange jesus when he's in prison.
