Spoke with quite a few of the visitors Marshall hosted last weekend. Here are some Highlights and important nuggets I wanted to pass y'all's way:
3-star TE Aidan Steinfeldt was the highest ranked commit (as of now) on campus last weekend came away super impressed with the MU program. He told me TE Coach Derek Shay is his primary recruiter and after his visit Marshall is in his top three (wouldn't tell mw who the other two schools are). He is planning on committing July 1st and based on what I've heard from Steinfeldt and some other sources, I'm putting in my Futurecast for him to pick MU on Saturday.
Kyle Williams out of Louisiana also spoke glowingly about his visit to MU. His primary recruiter is Chevis Jackson. Williams told me Marshall likes him at DB - not specially at corner or safety, because of how versatile he is. Like Steinfeldt also, Williams also told me Marshall is well within his top three. He won't be publicly committing until mid-August but I've gone ahead and put in my FutureCase for Williams to end up at MU.
DT Chris Stokes also had very positive things to say about his visit. He absolutely loves coach Ralph Street and told me Marshall is far and away his number one school. He also told me he has committed to a school but is keeping that under wraps for now. Needless to say I'm putting in my Futurecast for Stokes to commit to MU.
Javon Rogers is the one commit who visited we have not been able to pin down for a story. We will continue to reach out to the versatile star from Alabama and will keep the board updated with anything we hear.
*************HN has received word Marshall received commitments from two other prospects who were on campus in an un-official capacity and received offers during workouts. More to come on those two developing stories.
