was Landon right in his original assertion with Johnson's health?

So word usage and injury location were both wrong and you think its "a little" silly?
If the guy was onto something, he totally blew it.

DJ walked around seemingly just fine when I saw him...but thats because he has a fractured disc, lol.

Walking around campus and playing football and having 250lb balls of muscle hit you are 2 different things.

Really appreciate the followup. I too would believe Chuck if he told me he had two sources.

Not to belabor the point, but Chuck's problems of going to print prematurely are again illustrated in your accounting. The fact that he got something wrong or made a poor choice of words in the story illustrates his career in a nutshell.

Having said I that, I said I believed he was on to something but I think he got sloppy and he left himself vulnerable to criticism.

You are totally correct about Marshall and how difficult the school is to deal with from a media perspective.
maybe the singularly most difficult of ALL the schools I've worked with over the years.

Anyone think about maybe Devon didn't want a redshirt year?

So he wanted to be injured the rest of the year, play sparingly and seriously hurt his NFL chances?

I dont doubt Johnson wanted to help the team but the coaching staff needed to make the right decision and say sorry but with your injuries you are not going to be healthy at any point this year so we are shutting you down the rest of the season. Johnson may not have liked it but that would have been the correct decision by the coaching staff. Let Johnson get healthy and have him back next year. If Johnson didnt want to come back next year then that would have been his decision
