So Trump’s pressure plan on the Ukrainian comedian took about 24 hours to get the desired result. It’s a good thing he’s handling the negotiations and not a certain former board owner.
If it were up to the leftists on this board we would be sending money to Ukraine in perpetuity.
Your reality is so distorted it’s mind boggling. Putin is at the negotiating table solely because he’s scared of Trump. He did whatever the heck he wanted when Biden was in office. On top of that, Biden gave Ukraine a blank check to fight an unwinnable war. If he had been any sort of competent leader, he would have been leading peace talks over the last 3 years rather than funneling billions of our tax dollars to the money laundering capital of the world.

Putin doesn't have the backing of China. Remaining ambivalent and staying out of the conflict doesn't mean they are directly backing them. China simply didn't side with the U.S. and NATO and sees Russia as a fiscal opportunity, nothing more.
And we aren't starting WWIII. We aren't the aggressor. We didn't invade a sovereign Democratic nation. If Russia attacked Alaska, would we respond? Of course, we would. Does that mean we started WWIII? Of course, it doesn't.

I will say I've learned of the two major US political parties that one is stupid and one is evil. I belong to the stupid one which is why we have lost so much ground as a nation - fiscally, culturally, educationally, etc.

You realize there was an agreement that had tentatively been agreed to by Zelensky and Putin while Mush Brain was in office? And our "Allies" in conjunction with Mush Admin talked him out of it??? Told him to fight it out. The blood of over 1 million people is on the hands of NATO. NATO has allowed Russia to win a big chunk of Ukraine. They continue to lose men and resources.
I know hindsight is generally 20/20 but here are some random thoughts.
Ukraine has been corrupt for some time.
Remember Biden and the $1B firing of the Ukraine prosecutor.
Negotiations were in place during 2019. Wonder how the 2020 presidential election affected progress and the resulting invasion?
Early US support and weapons likely gave Zelensky a false sense of security.
Early Ukraine success and the belief that US support was never-ending and increasing likely gave Zelensky an unrealistic optimistism about defeating Russia.
Ukraine could likely never win a war of attrition with Russia.
Zelensky liked the attention, the early success, becoming more relevant and the open floodgates of cash.
Other thoughts?
