20th Street rumor

Any Herd fan who went remember our game at Pitt in Heinz Field a few seasons back? If so, you surely haven't forgot that Pitt's "anthem" is Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline"; they played it off and on from the 1st to the 4th quarters, and then some!! Their students really get into it and it helps create a good atmosphere even if the stadium is only about 50 per cent or so full!

Yep.

No problem: they are in such bad shape that most of them could very well rust through just any day now! Never fear, our forward thinking AD, Hammy, already has a plan in place. Just will put more floor drains in throughout the men's restrooms at the JOAN!! As old H. Ross Perot would say, "Problem Solved"!!!
We could always do like they do in China, squat in a communal trough. Lol!

how’d you end up there?
Black Diamond played the Empty Glass here in Charleston back in the day about 15 years ago. After the show, he hung out with all us regulars, and he was chatting me up about his niece that he thought I'd be perfect for. He showed me a picture of her, she was cute, and he asked if I could give him my number to pass onto her. I was like sure whatever and didn't think too much of it.

I get back to my apartment and fall asleep on the couch, only to be awoken at 3 a.m. by Black Diamond's "niece" calling me to tell me he'd given her my number. I'm groggy AF and the red flags are going off already when "she" starts to steer the conversation toward what I'm doing in the moment...this voice that I'm starting to notice sounds an awful lot like Black Diamond's asking me how I am situated in my bed, how I'm dressed, that sort of thing.

I just hung up, and in the morning I threw away my copy of "Hot August Night."

Killed the thread with that one.
Good thread though. Everything from horse trough urinals to a black Neil Diamond impersonator with perhaps homosexual tendencies. We have high standards and a long tradition around here and this is the type of material that helps maintain that.

Folks there is only one place that can happen and that is Unites States of America. I am damn proud to be a part of it. And damn it, this makes me proud to be The People's Moderator.

there aint no perhaps homosexual tendencies , he's all about that, by his own admission.

How would the new coach know what kind of game day atmosphere exists?? Has he been here for a non COVID game?
If you ask people how it's worked in the past, and they all give you the same answer, it isn't hard to picture how it all plays out.

Oh my gosh, 1991, I haven't seen you in forever. I've got some terrible news - rap became a thing.

Yeah but then 2005ish hit and it wasnt a thing anymore. Now it all blows. Synthesizers and voice alternations and a bunch of shit sound effects. Rap in the 80s 90s and early 2000s was great. But that is not what they play at the games.. They do in fact play the rap crap music

That's like saying Sturgill Simpson sucks because Taylor Swift exists.
Sturgill is the MAN!! I love how he tells the Nashville establishment to suck it and does his own thing! His performance on SNL, imo, was one of the best of all time!
