ANOTHER WHISTLE BLOWER: CROOKED TRIED TO FIX HIS IRS AUDIT

Whistle-Blower Is a C.I.A. Officer Who Was Detailed to the White House

WASHINGTON — The whistle-blower who revealed that President Trump sought foreign help for his re-election and that the White House sought to cover it up is a C.I.A. officer who was detailed to work at the White House at one point, according to three people familiar with his identity.

The whistle-blower’s expertise will likely add to lawmakers’ confidence about the merits of his complaint, and tamp down allegations that he might have misunderstood what he learned about Mr. Trump.

Clinton: Trump is an ‘illegitimate president’

Hillary Clinton dismissed President Trump as an “illegitimate president” and suggested that “he knows” that he stole the 2016 presidential election in a CBS News interview to be aired Sunday.

In June, former president Jimmy Carterused similar languageto diminish Trump’s presidency. Carter said that in his view Trump lost the 2016 election and was put in office by the Russians. Asked if he considered Trump to be illegitimate, Carter said, “Based on what I just said, which I can’t retract.”

Clinton was asked whether it angers her that none of the current Democratic candidates invoke her on the campaign trail while Trump’s rally crowds still break out into “lock her up” chants.

“No, it doesn’t kill me because he knows he’s an illegitimate president,” she said. “I believe he understands that the many varying tactics they used, from voter suppression and voter purging to hacking to the false stories — he knows that — there were just a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out like it did.

Clinton compared her election loss to “applying for a job and getting 66 million letters of recommendation and losing to a corrupt human tornado. And so I know that he knows that this wasn’t on the level. I don’t know that we’ll ever know what happened.”

And I don’t care if you’re for the [Democrats] or you’re a Republican, when the president of the United States, who has taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, uses his position to in effect extort a foreign government for his political purposes, I think that is very much what the founders worried about in high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Clinton also predicted Trump would lose in 2020 because “there were many funny things that happened in my election that will not happen again.”

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!!!!!! Effort to shield Trump’s call part of much broader secrecy effort

At one point in 2018, Defense Department officials were asked to send back transcripts of calls to the White House after Trump aides grew worried they could be disclosed, according to former senior administration officials.

To transfer a call from the normal storage system to the National Security Council’s code-word-protected network, a senior White House official — someone as high as the chief of staff or the national security adviser — must make a formal written request to do so, according to two people who worked with memos of calls with foreign leaders.

The paranoia grew outside conversations with foreign leaders. Trump has held sensitive meetings with his lawyers in the residence and asks for many meetings to be kept off his schedule. When legislative leaders come to the White House for meetings with the president, they are usually only allowed to bring their chiefs of staff along — or sometimes no one, according to people familiar with the meetings.

In late 2018,after news that a Trump aide referred to the late senator John McCain as “dying anyway,” Trump called aides into the Oval Office. He asked them to identify “leakers” in the White House. At one point, Kelly Sadler, the aide who made the comments, accused her boss, Mercedes Schlapp, of leaking. “You’re a liar!” Schlapp shouted in response.

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!!!!!! AIDES SAY TRUMP IN TOTAL PANIC OVER IMPEACHMENT FEARS JAIL

WASHINGTON — White House officials were scrambling Thursday to figure out how to counter the House Democrats' impeachment inquiry, with one source familiar with the situation describing a sense of “total panic” over the past week at the lack of a plan to address the new reality.

There appears to be rising “anxiety, unease, and concern” — as one person close to the White House described the mood in the West Wing — thatthe whistleblower’s allegationscould seriously wound the president and some of those around him. “There’s not a lot of confidence that there’s no there there,” this person said.

White House officials remained unsure of how to proceed, not only because there is no apparent plan to deal with the situation, but becausethe allegations are so seriousthat the usual methods the president has used to successfully escape past controversies may not apply: “This doesn’t look like something that’s going to be overtaken by the next news cycle,” the person said.

Another person familiar with the discussions described the mood inside the White House as “shell-shocked,” with increasing wariness that, as this impeachment inquiry drags out, the likelihood increases that the president could respond erratically and become “unmanageable.”

That concern was echoed by another source, who said that some around the president anticipate he will engage in more “impulsive” behavior, with pressureexpected to build on him daily during the impeachment inquiry.

That’s sparking worries that Trump could display increasingly unpredictable behavior and lash out in unexpected ways — both a presidential and a political concern in an election year.

For a president whose brand is viewed as strength, Wednesday’s press conference made him look defeated, said one person familiar with the situation.

To transfer a call from the normal storage system to the National Security Council’s code-word-protected network

This does bother me. There is zero reason to put something there that doesn't belong, unless you are hiding something. Honestly, that should raise eyebrows for even the most ardent Trump supporters...but we know it won't.

I only stroll through this ghetto part of Pullman every so often, but I see @WV-FAN gif game has been on point.

What Flake did at the 2019 Texas Tribune Festival, however, was toINDIRECTLYcall 35 GOP senators cowards by saying that if there were a secret impeachment ballotthat is how many Republicans would vote against Trump.

Flake was reacting to a comment conveyed by a Republican political consultant who said on MSNBC, “I can tell you this ... one Republican senator told me if it was a secret vote, 30 Republican senators would vote to impeach Trump.”

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!!!!!! 1ST SUPOENA ISSUED - MIKE POMPEO - COME! ON! DOWN!!!

House Democrats, kick-starting their impeachment inquiry into President Trump, subpoenaed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday, demanding he produce a tranche of documents related to the president’s dealings with Ukraine. Separately, they instructed him to make five State Department officials available for depositions in the coming two weeks.

A failure to do so, the leaders of three House committees wrote jointly, would be construed as “evidence of obstruction of the House’s inquiry.”

It was the first official action in the rapidly escalating impeachment investigation.

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! CROOKED TOLD RUSSIANS HES NOT WORRIED ABOUT THEIR INTERFERENCE IN ELECTIONS

Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries, an assertion that prompted alarmed White House officials to limit access to the remarks to an unusually small number of people, according to three former officials with knowledge of the matter.

The comments, which have not been previously reported, were part of a now-infamous meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, in which Trump revealed highly classified information that exposed a source of intelligence on the Islamic State. He also said during the meeting that firing FBI Director James B. Comey the previous day had relieved “great pressure” on him.

A memorandum summarizing the meeting was limited to all but a few officials with the highest security clearances in an attempt to keep the president’s comments from being disclosed publicly

“What was difficult to understand was how they got a free pass on a lot of things — election security and so forth,” this former official said. “He was just very accommodating to them.”

No surprise here. It was clear Trump was in cahoots with Russia. He's a liar, crook and con man.

Sooo...Trump communicated to the Russians he wasn't concerned about Russian interference in our elections.

Perhaps he can make San Quentin great again.

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! THE CREAM PUFF MEETS THE WOMAN OF STEEL

t the tender age of 73, Donald Trump may finally have to face some consequences for his depredations. His casino games have caught up with him and this time Daddy’s not here to bail him out. How delicious that a woman has the whip hand.

I always think he’s projecting: When he says ‘She’s not the speaker of the House,’ what he really means is ‘I shouldn’t be president of the United States.’ When he says that Adam Schiff should resign, what he really means is ‘I, Donald Trump, should resign.’ He knows that this is really very incriminating.”
“I have said from the start, we’ll go where the facts take us and we will be ready. And we are ready. And they’re shocked.”

Trump was clearly smarting that Pelosi is now on the side of an impeachment inquiry. Is the highchair king about to have his most epic tantrum yet?

Even Trump’s pal Chris Ruddy told NPR that the president may not understand the implications of the inquiry or that he’s going up against “the smartest person in Washington right now,” as Ruddy called Pelosi.

The speaker would have preferred to send Trump packing at the ballot box. But since he keeps contaminating the ballot box, asking foreign countries to meddle in our elections to help him win, what choice did she have?

The man who always claims the system is rigged against him keeps trying to rig the system — proving Pelosi’s point that Trump projects.

About the White House officials who engaged in what she calls “the cover-up of the cover-up,” she notes: “You’d think that there would be some sense of decency on the part of the people who work for the president.”

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! Impeachment First Time on a President’s Ties to a Foreign Govt

Alexander Hamilton, as usual, got right to the heart of the matter. When the framers were designing the Constitution and its power of impeachment, one of the high crimes they had in mind was giving into what Hamilton called “the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.”

For the authors of the country’s charter, there were few bigger threats than a president corruptly tied to forces from overseas. And so as the House opened an impeachment inquiry into President Trump’s interactions with Ukraine this past week, the debate quickly focused on one of the oldest issues in America’s democratic experiment.

Unlike the impeachment battles involving Andrew Johnson, Richard M. Nixon and Bill Clinton, the debate over Mr. Trump turns on whether a president can solicit or accept help from abroad to advance his political fortunes and where lies the line between the national interest and personal interests.

“the president’s corrupt efforts to press a foreign nation into the service of his re-election campaign.”

“To use America’s global credibility as a casino token, to be cashed in for personal political gain,” he added, “is an intolerable abuse of power and totally anathema to the rule of law.”

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! CROOKED Was Repeatedly Warned Ukraine Conspiracy Theory Was ‘Completely Debunked"

WHEN YOU ARE SO AWFUL AND THE ONLY HOPE YOU HAVE IS LIE AND CHEAT - YOU LIE AND CHEAT. (ITS THE REPUBLICAN WAY)

President Trump was repeatedly warned by his own staff that the Ukraine conspiracy theory that he and his lawyer were pursuing was “completely debunked” long before the president pressed Ukraine this summer to investigate his Democratic rivals, a former top adviser said on Sunday.

Thomas P. Bossert, who served as Mr. Trump’s first homeland security adviser, said he told the president there was no basis to the theory that Ukraine, not Russia, intervened in the 2016 election and did so on behalf of the Democrats. Speaking out for the first time, Mr. Bossert said he was “deeply disturbed” that Mr. Trump nonetheless tried to get Ukraine’s president to produce damaging information about Democrats.

Other former aides to Mr. Trump said on Sunday that he refused to accept reassurances about Ukraine no matter how many times it was explained to him, instead subscribing to an unsubstantiated narrative that has now brought him to the brink of impeachment.

“It is completely debunked,” Mr. Bossert said of the Ukraine theory on ABC. Speaking with George Stephanopoulos, Mr. Bossert blamed Mr. Giuliani for filling the president’s head with misinformation. “I am deeply frustrated with what he and the legal team is doing and repeating that debunked theory to the president. It sticks in his mind when he hears it over and over again, and for clarity here, George, let me just again repeat that it has no validity.”

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! CROOKED IS CORNERED AND PANICKING ABOUT IT

President Trump has now approvingly quoted a top supporter raising the prospect of “civil war." He accused unnamed national security officials in his own government of “spying” on him. He just called for a top Democrat in Congress to be arrested for “treason.”

And that was all in the last 24 hours.

All of this has many observers warning that Trump is lurching in an increasingly authoritarian direction, as the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry ratchets up.

But all of this is better seen as an expression of deep panic and self-incrimination — not just because the latest revelations have Trump on the defensive but also because of a meaningful shift in the power dynamics shaping the standoff between the White House and Democrats.

There has been a very fundamental change in the way House Democrats are going about holding Trump accountable: They’re no longer in the position of demanding cooperation from the White House and then waiting for a court to compel it.

Democrats now can threaten immediate consequences for the failure to comply: impeachment for that very act of stonewalling.

The result is that those in Trumpworld are faced with a stark choice: Either they cooperate with Democratic demands, or they make an article of impeachment for obstructing Congress more likely.

The problem for them is that such cooperation will also likely build the case for impeachment. Democrats have subpoenaed the State Department for a full transcript of Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president. They’ve demanded records relating to Trump lawyer Rudolph Giuliani’s campaign to pressure Ukraine, and to Trump’s decision to withhold military aid.

Meanwhile, Schiff has already demanded that the Justice Department produce records that could shed light on its role in trying to block the whistleblower complaint from reaching Congress.

Now that we’re seeing polls showing majority support for the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, further obstruction of Congress is likely to work against Trump in another way — by helping to build public support for impeachment itself

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! CAUGHT IN UKRAINGATE SCANDAL POMPEO SAYS NO STATE DEPT EMPL CAN TESTIFY (I WONDER WHY)

The statements came as Pompeo’s role in the Ukraine investigation broadened with reports that he was a participant in the July 25 call by President Trump to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, which led to the impeachment investigation.

Before that report, first published by The Wall Street Journal, Pompeo had brushed off questions about the incident, saying last week that he had not yet read the transcript of the telephone call released by the White House, or the whistleblower complaint that it sparked.

Judge to DOJ: Decide on charging Andrew McCabe by Nov. 15, or face release of FBI records

Walton expressed “dismay” to Justice lawyers that the case “is just dragging too long,” adding: “You all have got to cut and make your decision. It’s not a hard decision, and I think it needs to be made. If it’s not made, I’m going to start ordering the release of information because I think our society, our public does have a right to know what’s going on.”

Weismann appeared to strike a chord with Walton by saying: “We’re in dark times where there’s growing evidence that the president aided by the attorney general is using the power of his office to go after perceived political enemies. He’s going after the intelligence community. He’s going after the law enforcement community . . . ”

“Going after the courts, too,” Walton interjected.

“And he [Trump] is going after the courts, the press,” Weismann continued.

“I totally appreciate what you just said and share many of the same concerns,” responded Walton, a former senior official in the D.C. U.S. attorney’s office and defense attorney.

The extraordinary warning by Walton — a 2001 President George W. Bush appointee and former presiding judge of the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court — marked the latest turbulence in an investigation that McCabe’s defenders say is a move by the Trump administration to punish the president’s perceived political enemies.

THEY'VE GOT HIM NOW!!! HOUSE SUBPOENAS WHITE HOUSE (CROOKED IS FREAKING OUT)

House Democrats announced Wednesday that they would subpoena the White House for documents related to Trump’s July phone call with the leader of Ukraine — a call that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo earlier acknowledged that he was on as well.

Pompeo confirmed during a news conference in Rome that he listened to the call on which Trump pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

●Impeachment inquiry puts new focus on Giuliani’s work for prominent figures in Ukraine

Trump needs to spend less time tweeting and more time watching TV.

Today, Speaker Pelosi announced prescription drug legislation (HR-3) is moving forward.

She also announced they are addressing the Mexico-Canada-US trade agreement "working toward a yes"....they would like some checks into the agreement to insure American workers won't get ripped off.

In addition, she's still working on a greenway infrastructure.
