NO non Div I games. Good.

Don't know where in LV. There are at least 4 venues where basketball tournaments are played. Assume, since UNLV isn't involved, it is either MGM Grand or the Orleans.

Speculation is that the last game will be another "money" game like Tennessee.

Always do you think you can do better? If so please forward your resume to Hamrick, if you can figure out how to send an attachment, WITHOUT asking for help.

WOW!!!!! What a "tough" schedule (LOL!!!!!!!!!!!)
houston or grand canyon are the only teams on that list that finished with a losing record, and several of them finished with 20+ wins.

So we play roughly 30 games and there are approx. 3-5 "upgraded" games for 2015-2016? Again.....I say WOW!!!!!!!!

Maybe you can enlighten us. Explain to us the teams that Dan and Hammrick turned down that would have been an upgrade? Or what teams that we called and we could not work out a deal with?

I'm sure those teams are saying the same thing about us. We only won 22 games in basketball the last 2 years

Reading between the lines, I wonder if that home & home with James Madison is an indication that the Dukes are going to replace UAB (technically, no longer eligible to be a conference member on account of dropping football) in the C-USA east?

I doubt it means anymore than they are regional and available to do the 1-1.

I sure hope the heck they aren't on any list. This league is watered down enough as it is.

Also out of 30 games half of those are conference games that Mike and Dan have no control over.. Then out of the Non-Conference slate 4 or 5 of these games were already scheduled.. So that leaves you with about 10 games, so yeah to upgrade 3-5 of those is pretty dang good considering

Nah, we did a home-and-home with them in 2010-11 also.

Who do you guys think the league should go after to replace UAB?
I think ULL could well be the replacement. They took 25,000 fans to their last bowl game in NOLA. They average 26,000 per home game. In fact I believe that they pay their football coach over $1 million per year.
The Ragin Cajuns have always had a good basketball program. Their head hoops coach, Bob Marlin, was at Marshall for a year as an assistant to Dana Altman,

having 13 teams really hurts the basketball scheduling. The travel partner concept the league has been using has been a big hit with players and fans. You know that your team will be home every other week on Thursday and Saturday. Travel is better for the layers knowing they will be home about 10 days then away 4 etc. Much better for class attendance. Have 13 would wipe all of that out.

Then let's go down to 12.

It is a good schedule in that it gives us a chance to have some success and at this point is an adequate test for a rebuilding program.

That said, the home slate will not generate many advance ticket sales among the casual, non-die-hard fans that we need to increase attendance. With luck, winning will help do that as the season goes on.

Neither winning nor top 25 rankings seem to help. It didn't in the MAC years and it didn't last year.

Top 25? What's it been, a quarter century since we've gotten a vote? Not sure what your point is. Mine is: Good schedule for the team, but won't help attendance.
