Carter did something along these lines after he was out. Given Carter's post-presidency life, the move did make sense. Given all the churches/denominations/faiths Biden allegedly claims, he's sitting on a gold-mine. "The Joe Biden AME bible. If you don't own it, you ain't black!"
If Trump owned a publisher that sold bibles, that's one thing. But for a nominee who is favored to win the general to use their political platform to endorse the purchase of a specific bible, that's different.
