Local Union ...(get this)...Rips Off Workers

Yeah I'll defend it, trumptard, in the same manner you always defend employers..."if they don't like it, find another job."

They were lied to, point blank, idiot. After they signed the agreement the union rescinded that agreement without telling them.

So...to sum up...no liberal on here will denounce the actions of this union, as unions (once again) prove to be the corrupt entities they are. Instead, this turns into another Trump thread as a way of delection, just as I anticipated.

Not many things you offer is as bad as what your Cheetos is doing or has done. It makes you look ridiculous.

The steelworkers union at Steel of West Virginia is led by a trump-supporting Republican.

And that's not including his daily lies to his stripper-wife, off camera, etc.

Once again, Mr Reading Comprehension can't comprehend what he's reading.

Where does this article claim that Trump lies an average of 10 times per day? The claim is that he made a false or misleading statement, which isn't the same thing as lying. Not surprising that you don't know the difference.

I asked you to show me the 10 lies per day, and all you can do is post an article that A. Is an opinion piece, B. Doesn't even one time mention that he lied, and C. Simply posts what they claim are false or misleading statements...not lies.

Once again, the simpleton can't figure out the correct answer based on context clues.

If a person continuously makes "false statements" and knows they are false, that is a lie.

For instance, cheeto has repeated many of these false statements repeatedly even though he has been called out on them. He knows they are false statements. That means he is lying.

Is that really too hard for you to understand?

How is it reaching for straws by saying somebody who purposely makes false statements or who makes statements without really knowing the veracity of them is lying? It's the same thing.

*Unions can’t be judged or defended in an absolute way.

*The need and value of unions historically are significant. The abuses, unfair and dangerous work environments, and slave like wages in the early days of our country are well documented. The value of unions leading us out of these abusive environments can’t be overstated.

*Unions have also bred a backlash that has created situations where sloth is protected. For example, my father in law was a union pipe fitter. He told me stories (back in the 80s and 90s) where he and his fellow workers at a construction site in New Jersey would sit for over a week while being paid $25 plus an hour, because there were no union laborers available to move the pipe they were laying...and it was only ten feet from where they were working. They weren’t allowed to move the pipe ten feet to continue their work. That is indefensible as well.

*Unions have both tremendous value AND abuses. Each situation needs judged on their merit. You cannot apply judgement in an absolute way. Unions are neither all valuable nor all corrupt.

*The situation listed by OP falls on the corrupt side and is indefensible. That does not negate the value of unions.

*President Trump is a liar.

*President Trump’s lying in no way justifies the behavior of the union in OP’s link.

*Subscribing to absolutes in politics creates threads like this where people who view unions as all good can’t bring themselves to criticize something that unions do that can’t be defended. People who view unions as all bad latch on to single incidents to justify their beliefs.

No. The fact that every entity was run by Democrats for nearly a century explains that.

Add to that, that everyone in Charleston felt good ole coal is/ would be the only industry we would ever need to support those hardworking citizens in McDowell and other southern WV counties. What a bunch of moronic idiots.

No. The fact that every entity was run by Democrats for nearly a century explains that.

We weren’t last in every category in the ‘80s. The Republicans have had control of the state legislature and the governor’s seat and haven’t changed a thing. We’re now a right-to-work state and have eliminated prevailing wage yet businesses have not increased and wages continue to fall.

Go on with your foolish narrative. If you believe it, I’m sure it makes you feel better.

“They did everyone dirty,” said Kilby Baker, 70, a retired warehouse worker whose pension check was cut by about 25 percent after Marsh Supermarkets withdrew from the pension. “We all gave up wage increases so we could have a better pension. Then they just took it away from us.”

Only the executives’ plan, however, was fully funded under the sales agreement: With the completion of Sun’s purchase, Marsh’s top five executives were to be awarded $14 million in retirement payments, according to company financial documents. Among them: CEO Don Marsh at $7 million and corporate counsel P. Lawrence Butt at $2.2 million.
