The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) defines meat as red meat (beef, pork, and lamb), poultry, fish/seafood, and meat from other managed species.
Fish is also considered part of the seafood category, which includes other marine life like shellfish.

Wrong. Why lie? The USDA, both in classifications and inspections, separate fish from meat. In fact, when they are talking about both, they utiize "meat and fish." Now, if they felt fish was meat, why would they use both words? The USDA uses stickers/certification for meat/ poultry/eggs while using something entirely different for fish.

That is the food code from the FDA. At the bottom of those slides, it even provides the email address for a food specialist at the FDA, so you can even email her and look stupid.

Well, if it regulates all meat, then why not fish? It's because it doesn't classify fish as meat, moron. All fish and seafood other than Siluriformes is regulated by the FDA.
