i will start off by apologizing for this up front i have never criticized a player
before, i know it is wrong bui have to get it off my chest.

every week i read the paper after the latest loss and litton talks and
says all the right things, then the next saturday he goes out and its the same
old b.s.

chase - talk is cheap, just be quiet for a while. keep all those little
cliches to yourself. go ask the coaches to show you the film from
the clemson game years ago and watch how pennington and that
team of WINNERS refused to accept defeat. watch how they
picked up 3rd and very long 4 or 5 times on the last drive of the
game. until no matter how many flags those crooked acc refs
threw that team did not take a step back - they refused to accept
defeat. that was the greatest drive i have ever seen at any level
seriously - go watch it - you will be inspired and you will see what
winning looks like. winning does not have a voice it only has actions.

also, take a look at the game at south carolina when on the last
play of the game at the goal line ROGERS BECKETT met the
south carolina runner at the goal line and knocked him backwards
into last week to save the game. that was one of the greatest football plays i have
ever seen - and i have seen a lot of them.

watch those plays - and you will see what CHAMPIONS look like.

so, remember chase what you do speaks so loudly that we cannot
hear what you say. stop with all the little cliches the coaches give
you, do not accept defeat.

His head is too big to understand that. He needs to change his number back and act like a leader. He needs to work on his skills before he yells at his teammates for their mistakes. He says the same thing every week but does nothing to fix it and probably won't. From some of their twitter and instagram posts its obvious they only play for themselves and not a team. They've lost the idea that they play for the name on the front instead of the name on the back.

Doc is recruting talent only and not looking at more important traits like character, work ethic and football IQ. Jmo

So you folks believe Chase Litton is our problem? If your QB (leader) is a detriment to the cohesiveness of The TEAM...then we do have problems. I hope this is not the case. I am not close enough to our program (student or Huntington resident)...but something is amiss. It is hard to understand how a large number of last year's players are performing poorly. Do they show signs of not caring? We HERD that our O-Line would be the most talented group in years. We HERD that our receivers would set records. We HERD we had runners that would "fight" for that extra yard.

Did we HERD wrong?

EL OH EL! A bunch of grown men sitting around writing "memos" to college aged kids. I'm real sure he's gonna log on and read that and take it to heart.

I hate losing too but this is pretty pathetic. How long have you been fuming over this and finally got the "courage" to post it?

Dtard claims To be a former d1 football player. He usually posts in all caps and bold and copy and paste. Rarely does he have an original thought. Let him run with this

I do not know Chase Litton...I have never spoken with him. I do know the heart of young athletes because I work with young baseball players in Charlotte (Asst. JV Coach at Charlotte Christian Baseball) and I am a mentor with middle & high school players in a Charlotte program....BASEBALL FOR LIFE.

I just read Chase's interview after the So Miss loss. He spoke with a hurting heart. He was hurting for the senior class that "may never play again after college." He was blaming himself for the fumbles & overthrown passes at So Miss. He was blaming himself for not being the leader that the team expects him to be. "I want to continue to play at Marshall for this year and the next two." He stated..."We are better than this---no matter how many folks are bashing us, how many have given up on us." "We did not come to Marshall to lose football games." "We are a BAND of BROTHERS." "We need to get some sleep and GET BACK TO WORK." "We are a better team that we have shown to date."

I do not know Chase Litton...but I know a young man's heart. If I could be his dad for a few days.....I would hug him & assure him that MARSHALL is his HOME. Chase & THE TEAM needs our SUPPORT.

Goodnight from Charlotte.

I wouldn't question this teams work ethic or character. I know this team works hard and I know they have good character. BUT ill definitely question their football IQ, and that falls on Coaching.

Now we are worried about Instagram and Twitter posts.

HELLO ALL ATHLETES NO MATTER WHAT LEVEL THEY PLAY ON POST SIMILAR POSTS. Maybe you should get off their social media pages

If you honestly believe the coaches or players are going to watch a game from 16 years ago, your sadly mistaken. They had a players only meeting granted they should have had on after the Akron game but they had one. That's the first sign of leadership. You can't teach leadership, you build it and it's built in the locker room and on the practice field. We have too many buddies and nice guys on the team. I want to hear if a fight broke out in practice because someone is slacking. It's time for teammates to start holding each other accountable in practice and if someone gets slammed and punched in the mouth, so be it.

This is what happens when you recruit too many nice guys and not enough street dudes that love to fight.

I say we clean house with CL and start fresh with Morrell and Gaines. CL is gust too risky, on and off the field.

Agree. Play for the future. So sick of bad football, bad technique and bad coaching.

I thought Chase was going back to #14.

Honestly fellas we have just been spoiled with 3 stellar QBs. 2 of which were back to back NFL 1st rounders. That rarely happens even at the biggest schools let alone us. We will rarely find that kind of talent.

True, but we aren't asking for stellar. At this point, a progression from Freshman to Sophomore and being a serviceable QB would be a realistic expectation.
