My brother in law who bleeds Orange, said the Vol Nation had hoped Helton was out with Butch Jones. However with Pruitt being hired so late in the recruiting game, Pruitt wanted to keep Helton for continuity purposes in hopes of salvaging the commits that they still had. I seem to get the feeling that orange tears of sadness are not flowing due to his departure to WKU. But who knows UCF fans almost came unhinged by the hiring of Josh Heupel, and he's done okay, albeit with mainly Frost recruits.
