My generation brought us out of depression and brought us good times. Trump is leading us on the path to another depression with his isolationist actions, tariffs on our friends and rapport with our enemies and his continous large tax breaks for the ultra rich. This all is a recipe for disaster. His repeated wanting to make Canada a state when they dont want to be is acting like Putin and other dictators who want power over other countries. You think he is kidding but he is not.
Why rock the boat . We get things from our friends and lower prices. Tariffs on them just makes prices higher for us. Really helps no one.
I have made it clear. I grew up in a time when we were coming out of a depression caused by the Republicans and democratic policies made things good again. Trump is doing some of the same things that were happening in the 1920 s that caused the great depression .Tariffs were not the cause back then but they are an addition which will hurt our economy now.

No tariffs are good but you must remember these other countries give us cheaper products most but not all at the same quality. This tariff thing does not just hurt the products themeselves but filters to all aspects connected to it. It also eliminates competition which will mean higher prices also. Trump is not going about this in the correct way. Just slapping high tariffs on companies without even negotiating is wrong. He is going to threaten the whole world with tariffs. The worst is yet to come. Look at the stock market. Down most everyday but what happens when the big players in the market are all using AI and they are likely to get the same sell signals from AI and the heavy selling begins all at once and there are not enough smaller buyers to match those orders. Big losses all at once in this down market caused mostly by the uncertainty of the tariffs?
But he is negotiating you either give the US a better deal or we will slap tariffs on you.
I understand that but will tariffs work for the better in the end. Perhaps but it is very risky especially for the economy and the stock market in the meantime.
What if they decide to just not want to trade with us . You know that the EU is already pulling American liquor off their shelves. You only assume they will give us a better deal. This may happen in some cases and others it may not.
If no one took or takes risks, we'd all be screwed and our country would be worse than 3rd world.
Rich people take all the risks. That's why they're rich and we aren't.
We, as a country, have taken risks and need to keep taking risks. Most of the time we win, sometimes we have a setback.

Really the country is in pretty good shape much better than most of the rest of the world. But Republicans have hurt our economy in the past on several occasions.
Democrats hurt the economy, opened our borders to the world, endangered American citizens, opened the gates to child mutilation, men in women's restroom, showers, dorms and sports. They allowed drag queens to perform shows in front of children, drag queen story time, drag showsnin the military, books of pedophilia in schools and keeping parents from knowing what's going on with their children.
You support it all with your vote and you don't even come out against it.

If they do play sports together they need separate locker rooms. I have never seen a book in schools about pedophillia . I would be against books of this sort in school. What do democrats do from keeping parents from what is going on with their children. ? Republicans especially Trump have set a poor example or children. Democrats have bailed out Republicans time and again with our economy what with the Republicans deregulating banks and numerous recessions and even a depression.
A few incidences were brought forward by violent crime from people crossing the borders. Crimes are being committed by all different sects of people in our society just as often if not more often than the border crossing people. Violent crimes are committed all types of people, white, black. yellow and red , rich and poor.
