The late Arch Moore said the problem with Huntington was he could hand out $100 bill at a street corner and Huntingtonians would complain about which street corner he had selected.
In my lifetime, WV's governors have ranged from indifferent (Moore, Tomblin, Underwood) to abjectly hostile (Rockefailure, Capper-tax, Manchin, UnWise) towards Marshall. Rockefailure tried to close the institution twice and nearly bankrupted it via massive budget cuts.
No we complain that not only the current governor (the first MU alumni to hold ANY statewide office since the 1920s) and one of the richest people in America actually takes an interest in the university.
Typical Huntington.
