FOX NEWS ALERT: ⚠️ How it Started... How it's Going: Fast-food prices soar under Pedo-Joe

Democrats, their policies and their bleaters are destroying our country

Fast-food is beloved in America because it is cheap and convenient.

At least it used to be.

The recent inflation report for April showed that since Pedo-Joe took office, the cost of eating out at restaurants is up nearly 22%. However, fast-food has been hit particularly hard, with prices dramatically rising at the most popular restaurant chains beginning even before the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Big Mac sandwich at McDonald's, for example, cost $3.99 in 2019. Now, that price has more than doubled to $8.29, according to Fast Food Menu Prices, an online tracker.

Gone too are the days of the $5 Footlong at Subway. A BLT Footlong that cost $5.50 in 2019 now costs customers $8.49 in 2024, though prices can vary by location. Additionally, Chipotle's beloved chicken burrito that cost $6.50 in 2019 now runs customers $10.70.

Fast-food executives have pointed to rising wages and increased costs for ingredients as factors driving up the prices on their menus.

Data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis shows that fast-food prices have actually increased faster than the average hourly earnings of most employees at fast-food restaurants. Fast-food prices have also outpaced inflation, rising 41% from 2017, while the consumer price index has increased by 35.9%.

Customers are feeling squeezed. A recent survey conducted by LendingTree found 78% of consumers now consider fast-food to be a "luxury" purchase due to how expensive the meals have become.

Half of those polled said they view fast-food as a luxury because they are struggling financially. This is especially true among Americans who make less than $30,000 a year (71%), parents with young children (58%) and Gen Zers (58%).

The financial strain means fewer people are visiting the drive-thru. The findings show three out of four Americans typically eat fast-food once a week, but 62% of respondents said they are eating it less frequently due to the cost.

Some franchises are responding with temporary bargains. McDonald's will add a $5 value menu in June, and Wendy's has introduced a $3 breakfast deal, both for a limited time.

"Across almost all major markets, industry traffic is slowing," McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski told analysts in April. "We know our customers are looking for reliable everyday value now more than ever."

Many fast-food joints have also provided customers with exclusive deals available on their mobile apps and points programs that reward loyal customers with free menu items.

However, the fact remains that Americans remember when menu prices were lower, and higher costs for food and gas are souring their view of the economy. That is why Pedo-Joe continues to tell voters he is fighting for lower prices.

"I know many families are struggling, and that even though we’ve made progress we have a lot more to do. Inflation has fallen more than 60% from its peak, and core inflation fell to its lowest level in three years," Pedo-Joe said after the April consumer price index report showed a 0.3% increase, slightly lower than what economists expected.

"Prices are still too high — so my agenda will give families breathing room by building two million new homes to lower housing costs, taking on Big Pharma to lower prescription drug prices, and calling on grocery chains making record profits to lower grocery prices for consumers."

FOX NEWS ALERT: Massachusetts risks losing $1B as wealthy flee for lower-tax states

Enough is Enough!!! ;) Say the wealthy...

Those Democrat polices hard at work for YOU! New York and California aren't the only shithole Blue states.

LINK: Migration out of Massachusetts rising at an 'alarming' pace

Massachusetts is in danger of losing nearly $1 billion in annual revenue over the coming years as high state taxes trigger an exodus of wealthy residents.

Since 2013, migration out of Massachusetts has seen an "alarming" 1,100% increase to more than 39,000 people, according to new findings published by Boston University's Questrom School of Business. If the trend continues, more than 96,000 residents making a cumulative $19.2 billion in adjusted gross income will leave the state by 2030.

The study estimates those departures would cost Massachusetts about $961 million in income tax revenue each year.

The Bay State has already lost $821 million in income tax revenue since 2011.

Residents cited a number of reasons for relocating, including a high tax burden and expensive housing and health care costs. Widespread remote work policies have also made it easier for residents to pack up and leave, contributing to the growing exodus of prime-age workers.

"Move-to states ranked significantly better in three drivers; lower income taxes, cost of housing and cost of healthcare," the study said.

Florida and New Hampshire were among the top destinations for residents fleeing the state. Florida does not have an income tax, while New Hampshire has a flat rate of 4% that it levies only on interest and dividend income. Other popular destinations include Maine, North Carolina and Texas.

About half of the residents who left Massachussets remained in New England.

"Migration patterns are driven by citizens voting with their feet, a report card on how well a state is doing to meet their needs," the report said. "Each year, millions of Americans move from one state to another. Movement can happen for numerous economic and non-economic reasons. Growing costs in a state can make it unattractive to individuals, families and businesses."

In 2023, New York, California, Hawaii, Alaska and Illinois lost the most residents as a share of their population, while South Carolina, Delaware, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida saw the greatest population increase, according to a Tax Foundation analysis of Census data.

"This population shift paints a clear picture: Americans are leaving high-tax, high-cost-of-living states in favor of lower-tax, lower-cost alternatives," the Tax Foundation, a group that advocates for lower taxes, said in a blog post.

Athletics Dept as a whole/Bubas

I know there’s a lot of doom and gloom going around, but I think it’s important to take a step back and see that we’re actually doing alright comparatively. We’re currently second in the Bubas Cup, the conference-wide, sport-wide competition. We should gain some ground on JMU this weekend as women’s tennis comes to a close. I think baseball, softball, outdoor T&F, men’s tennis, and beach volleyball are conference-sponsored sports that aren’t done yet.

Bubas Cup totals
1. James Madison (106.5)
2. Marshall (102)
3. Arkansas State (100)
4. Texas St (91.5)
5. Ga Southern (88.5)
6. CCU (87.5)
7. Appalachian State (85)
8. So Alabama (84.5)
9. Troy (82.5)
10. Old Dominion (80)
11. Louisiana (71)
12. ULM (69.5)
13. Southern Mississippi (66.5)
14. Georgia State (55.5)

Attention All Forum Members

There are a couple of posters on here who are getting amped up about the election already. They are going to get amped up even more as we get closer. They may try to make you feel unwelcome or make some type of threats. One of them just repeats the same stuff over and over. He will really get crazy towards election time. They tend to lean a certain way. I don't think I LEFT anything out.

Keep doing what you are doing. Don't feel intimidated. They are not going to hold this forum hostage like some college campus. They are not dealing with a limp wristed noodle spine college President or blue state governor.

Keep up the good work. It will get worse but let them cry and moan as we make America Great Again.

“They were authorized to shoot me!”

“I nearly escaped death. You know they’re just itching to do the unthinkable. Joe Biden was locked & loaded ready to take me out & put my family in danger.”

Deplorables

Four out of the last six threads started on this board are from Crispy Lips, and each of those four are links to Fox News articles.

Why don’t we just shut this board down and have it it push to Fox News? You deplorables, once again, aren’t policing your own. Your inability to control your fellow trash is ruining this board. Get that moron under wraps before I do to this board what I did to the smack board.

What in the world is happening to me?

This morning, I walked to my closet and pulled out a red golf shirt to wear. After I slipped it on, I turned and saw the reflection of myself in the bathroom mirror that was about 10 feet away.

On the left breast of the shirt was the recognizable outline of the familiar Izod company. I was momentarily confused and thought to myself, “Where in the world did this come from? I gave up buying overpriced casual shirts years ago.” Not much sense wearing a $60 shirt to plant sunflowers.and dig in the mud.

I walked a few feet closer to the mirror where the Izod logo magically morphed into a piece of dryer lint. I don’t believe I’m completely well yet.
