HERDNATION.COM NSD Primer: The Commits

Crazy to think we're less than 24 hours removed from Marshall's bowl victory and we're less than 24 hours away from NSD kicking off.

HN takes a look at the 10 commits currently in the fold for the 2023 class and what their plans are for tomorrow and the coming months:

Good times at Marshall.

Our soccer team made it to the Sweet 16, our basketball team is 6-1, and our football team recovered from a potential meltdown and is sitting at 8-4 and headed to a bowl. We have money allocated to finally build a baseball stadium to boot. I have felt for a long time that we (Marshall) does a fantastic job with the resources we have to work with. Finally, we are in a conference that I am happy to be in for the long haul.

Next Year

Questions I currently have:
- How quickly do we find out who is leaving and who is staying?
- Any NSD surprises coming this week?
-What positions have the greatest depth issues?
I think Huff will try to load up in the portal again to make a run at the access bowl with conference realignment happening in the G5 next year.

NHR - Oregon Player Granted 9th YEAR of Eligibility

“If he returns to UO, McCormick, who has already earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, said he’d likely take classes in business or yoga or pursue internships to fulfill the academic requirements.”

“The winner of this year’s Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award, McCormick was one of three UO players hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis following overly strenuous workouts in January 2017. He missed nearly all of the 2018-21 seasons due to a broken left ankle that required three surgeries and the torn Achilles.”
