I know of a guy that worked for him back in the late 80's and early 90s. Guy didn't finish high school. Ran heavy equipment. Guy was pulling 80 grand a year(working overtime and such). Loved working for his mines. Said, they paid him well. They got bonuses and all kinds of gifts at Christmas parties and such.

I worked 6 months for them and told them to stick it. The drive was like 70 miles and mostly bad roads.
