Good read re: Deep State and Trump

Oh. How nice. The old, "I got nuthin' to say about the substance because it's entirely accurate, but since it's contrary to my own flawed beliefs I'll attack the messenger" reply. And a two-fer at that! Thanks for playing, you mental midgets, but I actually linked the article for people with sense. So, technically, neither of you were even supposed to read it.

Oh. How nice. The old, "I got nuthin' to say about the substance because it's entirely accurate.

This guy's first three words are "The deep state." There's actually a shadowy underground group that runs the nation? Because that is what "deep state" means. So how again is this article "entirely" accurate, when right off the bat it dumps a load of bullshit? Mental midget? You are the dumb SOB that actually believes this Alex Jones shit...or at least a rational person will assume you do when you post something that begins with that line of crap.

Conspiracy theories are fun. So is Star Wars and goddamn Batman movies. Perhaps we should ask Han Solo or the Joker what they think of the Presidency.

Deep state....damn fools, wealth runs this nation and all nations, and it is right out in the open.

And yes, I will attack the author when it is well known he has sour grapes against Hillary Clinton. You probably thought he was on your side.

Oh. How nice. The old, "I got nuthin' to say

The (1) “deep state” is in a deep state of desperation. With little time left before the Justice Department inspector general’s report becomes public, and with special counsel Robert Mueller having failed to bring down Donald Trump after a year of trying, they know a reckoning is coming.

At this point, there is little doubt that the highest echelons of the FBI and the Justice Department broke their own rules to end the Hillary Clinton “matter,” but we can expect the inspector general to document what was done or, more pointedly, not done. It is hard to see how a yearlong investigation of this won’t come down hard on former FBI Director James Comey and perhaps even former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who definitely wasn’t playing mahjong in a secret “no aides allowed” meeting with former President Clinton on a Phoenix airport tarmac.

With this report on the way and congressional investigators beginning to zero in on the lack of hard, verified evidence for starting the Trump probe, current and former intelligence and Justice Department officials are dumping everything they can think of to save their reputations.

1) The opinion piece starts out accusing the FBI, the DOJ and other Intelligence Agencies of being deep state. That's ludicrous and anyone who buys into that is an idiot. Furthermore, the opinion piece accuses "the deep state" of being desperate. I haven't seen signs of anyone being desperate other the trump. You have to be pretty desperate to attack the FBI, the DOJ and our institutions in this country who have been held in the highest esteem and regard.

2) After a year of trying. The opinion piece writer clearly doesn't understand the charge of the Special Counsel. The Special Counsel has gotten 5 guilty pleas, 19 people and three companies have been charged with over 100 counts. The investigation is obviously working its way from bottom to top. Will they ultimately get trump for Conspiracy? I don't know. I think they will get him for Obstruction of Justice.

3) little doubt that the highest echelons of the FBI and DOJ broke their own rules? I have never seen any evidence of this. Name these "highest echelons." Name the rules they broke.

4) James Comey. The guy trump fired over this "rushyer thing?" The guy who wouldn't take a loyalty pledge to trump? The guy who wouldn't "let Flynn go?"

5) Lack of evidence? What the f'uck is this guy smoking? The four judges in the FISA court were ALL Republicans. LMAO! Most of the dossier has been confirmed and none has been proven false. All of the intelligence agencies agree that Russia meddled in the election. I guess you trump supporters don't want to investigate Russian meddling? If trump is innocent, the investigation sure as hell isn't hurting anything. trump should have nothing to hide. That's the most lying and cover ups I have ever seen an "innocent man" make and do.

Yeah, that's where I stopped reading that bullshit.

The four judges in the FISA court were ALL Republicans.

Not hard to get a warrant when you use fabricated information and pass it off to a judge as reliable (*cough* dossier *cough*).

Face facts. The dems/left, as well as the political machine, i.e., career bureauctats and politicians, are still completely outraged Trump won. Frankly, I'm not happy about it either. However, instead of working to correct course through elections, they've resorted to a completely false narrative of Russian collusion. This sh*t, much like the Clinton impeachment, is a tremendous waste of time, resources, and manpower and distracts from what's actually important.

Not hard to get a warrant when you use fabricated information and pass it off to a judge as reliable (*cough* dossier *cough*).

You realize there were over 40 pieces of evidence, only one of which was the dossier, used to obtain the FISA warrants on Page?

You realize the warrants are only good for 90 days and they have to be renewed?

You realize the FISA court consists of a rotating panel of judges?

You realize the initial surveillance yielded evidence to grant a renewal?

LMAO!

God, you're ignorant. I used the dossier as an example. Never intended to convey it was the only piece of "evidence" they used. Also, if they were willing to use one piece of fraudulent evidence, what's to keep them from falsifying more info.

All I can say is that it's not a conspiracy theory if it's true.

I don't know if I trust the system enough to predict anyone will actually be charged, let alone convicted, but it will come out that the FBI, DOJ, and CIA are the ones that really colluded at the direction of members of the Obama WH to create a narrative on the Trump campaign. Clapper, Comey, Lynch and McCabe were the main players. They set up the initial contacts with young, ladder climbers on the fringe of the Trump campaign, planting information with them and then using their knowledge of that information to create the whole Russian collusion narrative. The meeting with the Russian lawyer by Don jr. was also a set up. The same lawyer met with Fusion GPS both before and after the Don jr. meeting yet Mueller has never even bothered to interview her.

This is why Hillary famously said that if Trump won they would all be hanging from nooses. Comey even said that the fact that he thought Hillary was going to win drove his decision process on her investigation. If Hillary wins Comey is still running the FBI, Clapper is still running the CIA and Lynch is still attorney general and none of this ever sees the light. The "dossier" goes into a trash can, no one speaks of Russian collusion or influence in the election. If Trump somehow wins you have an "insurance policy" as Peter Strok put it. You have a mechanism to try and run a duly elected President out of office so you can save your skin.

I would consider politicizing the non-elected leaders of the nation's national and international police force as well as the DOJ a "deep state" scenario. When you add in that it was being driven by both R and D senators, including McCain being the one that initially "referred" the dossier, then you have a full blown swamp.

You need to modify your narrative to account for the meeting with the UAE by Don Jr.

I’ll give you some time to develop your talking points (consult with Fox News).

So even though Obama was no longer in power, he made Flynn lie about contacts with Russia? Even though Obama wasn’t in office, he orchestrated Cohen taking in money from AT&T and others to get access to trump? If Obama was behind all of this, why is everyone pleading guilty?

You’re a special kind of stupid.

so what do you think the Russians and Trump actually did? Seriously? You think Hillary lost because of the Russians? You think Trump and the Russians worked together to take down Hillary and it cause her to lose?

What the FBI did should alarm any American. It is clear politicians, on both sides, did not want an outsider to win.

You're too dumb to even understand when this whole timeline and investigation began....

https://www.nationalreview.com/2018...a-probes-justice-department-double-standards/
Despite the absence of any evidence that the Trump campaign conspired in Russia’s espionage, the Obama Justice Department — led by then–acting attorney general Sally Yates — relied on the Logan Act to conduct a criminal investigation of General Michael Flynn, a 30-year decorated combat veteran. A key Trump campaign adviser who played a central role in the Trump transition and was designated as the incoming national-security adviser, it was Flynn’s job to communicate with such foreign counterparts as Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, a Washington fixture whose dance card has never been short on Democrats. Flynn was also an intense Obama critic, and the outgoing administration understood that he was preparing to reverse Obama policies.

The Obama Justice Department and FBI investigated Flynn — including an ambush interview — on the theory that his discussions with Kislyak and other diplomats violated the Logan Act. Currently codified as Section 953 of the federal penal code, this statute purports to criminalize “any correspondence or intercourse” with agents of a foreign sovereign conducted “without authority of the United States” — an impossibly vague term that probably means permission from the executive branch. The Logan Act is patently unconstitutional....

Incidentally, in the ambush interview, Flynn, without counsel and apparently unaware that he was being questioned as a suspect, was grilled about what was said in a conversation with Kislyak. There was no intelligence need to do this because the FBI had a recording of the conversation. The agents who questioned Flynn, including counterespionage specialist Peter Strzok, determined that Flynn did not lie to them.

Can’t wait, this is gonna be good.

So it was Obama’s fault Flynn lied to investigators?

LOL!

Flynn's guilty plea will be set aside before this is over.

And for the record, I watch less than one hour a week of Fox News. I have this ability that is foreign to people like you. I can digest large amounts of information from various sources and then form my own opinions.

The media laughed at Trump for saying Trump Tower was bugged, except now we know it was. Not only that, we also now know that an intelligence source, the professor, was used by the FBI to gather info on the Trump campaign. This predates the first FISA warrant.

Just keep watching.

Wanna bet? Self ban for one year?

Politicians, on both sides, and a majority of Americans, didn't want cheetos to win.
Get over it. You want California and New York and Illinois electing the president all the time?

Your ability to refer to established, well educated, experienced and respected people in the manner you do reflects your shortcomings. Most people on here respects Banker and his remarks, even though they may not always agree with them.

hff, that's typical drivel from that guy. when he doesn't like what someone posts, his typical goto is attacking the source or the individual poster. he rarely brings anything constructive to a conversation.

Stop and think about what you guys are saying. You are swallowing the lies of an habitual liar. You now believe a con man and habitual liar over the well-respected agencies entrusted to keep America safe and fight all enemies, both foreign and domestic. You honestly believe, at least three different agencies, cooperated/conspired to attack a presidential campaign? Do you realize how many people would have had to have been "in on it" to make that work? Do you realize these agencies are comprised of Democrats, Republicans, Independents and completely apolitical people? You guys have lost your sense of reasoning and are now believing a very desperate man.

It is sad what some of you have fallen for.

Have you ever heard of the scandal known as Watergate that rocked the Nixon presidency? Read up on it, and report back to the forum how many different agencies were involved in it.

As for the current investigations, I'm going to sit back and patiently wait for it to play itself out, and allow the chips to fall where they fall. So far, all we've seen is bullshit spewing out of both sides, with most of it being speculation.

True, if you ignore his admission that he values the life of dogs over the lives of humans.

Let's look at past history of the Obama administration:

  • Used the IRS to get info and cause distress to opposition groups
  • Covered up Benghazi and flat out lied to the American People to win an election
Those are just 2 instances where the past administration used the government agencies for political purposes. Based on this, YES is my answer. However, unlike yourself, I will wait for the facts to come out.
