That's what "they" want you to believe . . .Well the main problem is he’s dead
Dude, we are the same age.Not mine.
He's not getting it. Best to just nod and pretend to agree at this point.Dude, we are the same age.

You know where we were nobody was listening to that. Maybe 2 people?.Dude, we are the same age.
Cmon boys, nobody where we were during the 80s which was my time was listening to snoop dog , rap , or 50 cent were we grew up. Maybe I could count them on one hand. The rappers I rememer were Run DMC who got it big when they sang an Aerosmith Song , 2 Live Crew because their songs were dirty, and mayb soem beastie boys. He's not getting it. Best to just nod and pretend to agree at this point.
That's correct. If you're looking into the 80s for reference material you'll only find Dre with N.W.A which was the shit. Snoop D.O. double G and the rest of last night's performers didn't really come onto the scene until the 90s.Cmon boys, nobody where we were during the 80s which was my time was listening to snoop dog , rap , or 50 cent were we grew up. But, hell wasn't main street in damn WV not in the 80's. YOu had country like Hank JR, and then the hair bands for the most part. Rock music. Rap wasn't really mainstream at the time. Hell, Vanilla Ice was the most famous rapper then. Ice, Ice baby. We didn't listen to snoop dog, 50 cent, etc. They made fun of white dudes who did that back then
An act with very limited appeal today. Why? Because country music moved on...WAY on.Time to bring back Hank Jr.
You'd be surprised...I didn't buy my copy of Straight Outta Compton, a classmate dubbed a tape for me. Quite a few Beastie Boys fans in school too, Paul's Boutique came out the summer we graduated, damn that album is dope. You have to remember, back then we watched MTV and it still played videos lol. Without MTV, hip hop never crosses over to white kids. You know where we were nobody was listening to that. Maybe 2 people?.
And then right about 1990-92 it all changed. 92, when The Chronic and Doggystyle were released. About the same time it became OK to smoke weed on the porch at a party, instead of hiding in a room upstairs 🤣Cmon 80's it was either Hank Junior(insert some other or Hair bands(some metal in there) for the most part. Wasn't no snoop dog , 50 cent, etc. going on where we were in the 80's. Not the 80's.
I consider myself an 80's kid not 90s. But, my style is more rock. If I listen to country I like the older stuff from the 70's and 80's(a few 90s).An act with very limited appeal today. Why? Because country music moved on...WAY on.
The last time I saw Hank was at a casino. Dude was selling out arenas and stadiums at one point. That's not a knock on him, that's just the way it goes. Very few acts can transcend eras. The Stones. Prince was doing big $$$ at small venues right before his death, high priced-high demand tickets. U2.
Maybe he could be part of a show with multiple acts. That's how the hair bands do it; Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and Poison are touring together.

Our music/age demographic is what we listened to up until about age 30, they say that's when you stop discovering new music....hell if I know, I listen to new music quite a bit. But it makes sense, we are as Nirvana and Pearl Jam as we are Guns n Roses and Def Leppard.
Run DMC, The Beastie Boys, Fat Boys, 2 Live Crew, NWA. Those were the days. That's correct. If you're looking into the 80s for reference material you'll only find Dre with N.W.A which was the shit. I loved 80s rap music.
LL Cool J, Geto Boys, Ice T, Kool Moe D, Too $hortRun DMC, The Beastie Boys, Fat Boys, 2 Live Crew, NWA. Those were the days.
Music was a million times better back then, in all genres.LL Cool J, Geto Boys, Ice T, Kool Moe D, Too $hort
For me, LL's song I'm Bad is a classic. Geto Boys Gangster of Love is a badass rap song with the guitar track from Sweet Home Alabama. The original version sampled Steve Miller Band's The Joker but they acted like bizznitches and were trying to sue. I prefer the latter using Sweet Home Alabama sample.
I'm an 80s kid but an early 90s young adult. As are you.I consider myself an 80's kid not 90s. But, my style is more rock. If I listen to country I like the older stuff from the 70's and 80's(a few 90s).
City of dope, I call it Oak, you can't be broke sellin' coke.Too $hort
lol he smoked it before the show.I think there was a prop bet on whether or not Snoop would smoke weed during the halftime show.
I’ve read some about him, but don’t know any of his music but know all of the male artist music that he performed with. He is very accomplished, no doubt about that. He looked like he was about 4 feet tall compared to everyone else up there.Maybe because I am younger than most on here but, someone not getting enough credit is Kendrick Lamar.
He's relatively young by comparison to the others (34 yrs) but he's a very good writer and his lyrics from his album, DAMN. won the Puliter Prize.
He's the first rapper to ever win such an award.
While everyone else was so well known, he's actually one of the more accomplished lyricists up there and it was a great blending of old and new.
I loved the halftime show.
