I agree that DD is a good fit for us.
Of course, most of the idiots on this board don't see it that way. Most of them expect him to snap his fingers and voila, the team is unbeaten and amazing.
Doesn't work that way at all...he's starting to change the mindset of the team itself first, and that means removing some players who don't buy in, implementing schemes that will benefit over time, coaching staff, etc.
Some idiots just want to blame Hamrick, again, for something when it doesn't go their way.
Marshall basketball does not have any tradition...at all...ever. Huck, laughable at best when compared to other programs, conference championships...and ZERO NCAA wins, the fieldhouse, a joke when compared to other venues...thank God it's gone.
Hal Greer is about the only real element of basketball to be proud of. At least he's nationally recognized as one of the best players of all time.
But that was ages ago, now we're moving in a different direction. Elements of the old days, which nobody can seem to just let go and move forward with, are with DD as coach, but he's also having to adjust to a modernized culture that basketball has taken. It's not nearly as corrupt or bad as football, but it has changed.
Resources come when the team improves. Team wins, people come to watch, Marshall makes money. Right now, we don't have anything to really watch. The team is not playing well right now, at all, but give it time...DD will get us moving in a better direction.
