I know this is all hindsight, but I'd surely hope that in the process of viewing all of rifle's nude texts sent back and forth, the NSA would surely start looking into anyone "in contact" with a shady overseas terrorist guy.

He is certainly not "white," i.e.caucasian. I would argue that he is a "domestic" terrorist ONLY, in the sense that he is a citizen and the attack happened on U.S. soil. The ideology that led to this incident, however, is certainly not one that is associated with any of your identified "homegrown" terrorists. Rather, it was likely born in the middle east and this former "American" - I say former because his actions rise to the level of treason - adopted and fostered these ideas through his connections to overseas terrorist organizations.

More to the point, however, it was certainly not a group of right-wrong, nutjob "white guys" that did this, as both you and Fever suggested when it first came down - no matter how much you and the rest of the leftists, including most of the news outlets and the Administration, hoped it would be.
