I worked with someone who's spouse was a big way high up in a major bank. They worked where I did just for somethign to do. He was high up.
They agreed with Republicans in reality but for banking Democrats were where it was at. Big Banks are run and controlled by mostly Democrats.

I grew up in an extremely poor family, went in the Army and earned my GI Bill. I have had zero student loan debt since my mid-20’s.

No, moron, no one earned a tax cut. It was a handout, just like student debt forgiveness. The biggest difference is between the 2 is that the rich don't get as much from the student debt.

well, the dept of education adminsters the loans now. Low cost, basically most anyone can get it. They push people to college. Hell, we know a woman that went and got it borrowed the money and went for a year just to live on it. Told us what she did. Never finished. Got the debt. Have a family member that does it on more than one occassion. Retraining for the older work force. Live off the loan for a bit.
Now what does this do? Raises the cost of the tuition? Why? The colleges know they can get it. Just like the car manufacturer's raising the price of electric cars $7500 now. Govt is going to pay for it or subsidized it, then raise the prices. It drives the cost up tremendously.
Look, I am not against student loans. It helps people for sure. But, you have to pay it back. If they started making people pay this back and made interest rates higher on it and a real process like a real loan people would be more responsible and it would contain cost or make it lower.
Paybing back debt peole is ludicrous. That is called skin in the game. You took the loan pay it like many did. My wife paid hers. My parents borrowed against their retirment to help me and I save money also and got the GI Bill and worked. I know many others that paid their loans back. Pay the damn loan back.

Not everyone is in your position for some and I would say most social security is a great thing. Maybe its not for everyone but most needit when they get older.

No a tax cut is not a handout because you earned your money. Debt relief absolutely is a handout because you’re taking my money to pay for your lack of paying back loans. My parents didn’t help me at all. They took out loans, refinanced their house. I took out loans and made payments every month for a decade to pay my loans off. Contrary to your tiny little brain. That money to pay for over a quarter trillion dollars has to come from somewhere. The tax the rich mantra sure as hell isn’t going to pay for it so yes taxes will have to go up since that’s the only way the govt gets money.
23k a year living on campus. She doesn’t have that much debt unless she lived off of her loans

You're an idiot. A tax cut IS a handout in the same way as student debt relief. BOTH increase the nation's debt. If taxpayers are left holding the bag, BOTH do so. The money to pay for 1.5 TRILLION tax cut has to come from somewhere. The "poor don't deserve it" mantra from you selfish punks has been tiresome for decades and taxes will have to go up to pay for the tax cuts.
