We haven't had a Doc vs Pruett/Donnan Thread in a Long Time

1989 Herd would have rocked this squad tonight.
Bernie Morris actually may be better than any QB we have had outside of Cato since Pruett left.
Doc doesn't have the "IT" factor. We will always have games like this under him. Remember when Byron was out and Miami came to town and a young Stan Hill had to take over? I do not think Doc can adjust at all, period, notta! So unless things go perfect and fall into place, we will never reach the levels we used too.
Doc is a bad head football coach. You should not even have a thread that mixes his name with Pruett or Donnan. It's a travesty to even put his name beside theirs.
Why bother? You can’t convince the Doc apologists of anything
Doc was/is known as a recruiter- end of story. He can not coach and he proves it many times each season. He has Hamrick to defend him and that’s all he needs right now. It will require something major for Mike to let Doc go.
I question his recruiting prowess
He is not even a good recruiter. That is the most over blown mantra in this forums history. How many guys has he had drafted or put in the league? He made a name 30 years ago because he went to Florida when he was at wvu and not many schools were mining that talent. Oh he recruited at Florida when Urban was there. Big deal. Who the hell could not recruit at Florida when Urban was there.
The other problem is most head coaches can grab a damn headset and do more than spit out of the side of their mouth. They can adjust, go with the flow of the game, devised a gosh darn game plan. And, before anybody here says Dabo Sweeney. Well, we aren't Clemson where we can actually hire elite top not coordinators that can do that if the damn head coach can't. So, don't go there. You have to be able to coach them up where we are at. He can't grab the damn chalkboard and say wipe it clean this shit ain't working and here is what we are going to do now men. He can't do it. Not in his wheel house. The coach at MTSU did it and you saw what happened. IT is called adjusting on the fly. And, you saw the results.
