Get all the important olds in the room. Since seeing someone’s face is important for communication, all the important people can take off the mask. But keep the unimportant aids in the mask, for science and theater.

I don't get it. It's like at tumor board if all the doctors at the table took off their masks (we don't) while the nurses and support staff on the outside of the room were still in masks.
90 some percent of everyone falling for it is the real culprit.
These people make me jealous and disgusted all at the same time. Somehow, they can con 90 some percent of everyone into actually listening to them. But if I had that kind of power, there's no way I could live with forcing people to do stuff they don't want just so I could get a kick out of it or a kickback or whatever the hell they get.

We will probably evolve into two separate species: the masked and the unmasked. Remember the Eloi and Morlocks from The Time Machine?
And their noses are so far up in the air that they couldn’t care less about the optics of them being without masks and making the poor people wear them.
Cross your fingers this thing is transmissible but mild. Time will tell but that could be really good.
