Would this be an acceptable statement and would it really help ease the angst?

A lot of people have posted that all we really need is statement from Doc or Hamrick that they are just as disappointed as we are and that they are going to take take of it. Some have even given examples of what should be said. Would this suffice if it were released?

"There's not a whole lot to be said. We are not a good football team right now. We did not meet the expectations and standards that should be met around here.. We'll go back to work tomorrow to make sure that this never happens again. It's not an excuse, but we did have a lot of guys out and we're going to take a look at that too to see why. We'll start evaluating tonight. We're going to look at everything. We're going to look at all aspects. From personnel to coaching to weight room to the way we do everything. We need to look at what our issues are and get them fixed. We need to get it squared away and it will be."
