We have a chance to exact a little revenge Thursday night as we dropped the January 5th game to Georgia Southern down in Statesboro. We got down early and was down by 19 with a little over 2 minutes left in the first half and clawed back to within in 2 points with a minute to go but sputtered at the end (2 straight offensive possessions ended in turnovers by Kinsey & Taylor and then missed shots by Taylor and Curfman).
Southern was red hot from the floor (57% for the game) and they really out-hustled us for the rebounds and lose balls (outrebounded 42-28).
As has been mentioned by several others, it's critical that OAK stays out of early foul trouble. At Southern he got some early fouls and only played 25.
I'm excited to get to go Thursday (2nd game I've gotten to go to since 2019).

Disclaimer: Thanks to ESPN+ and the new Conf TV deal this is easily the most Bball games I've watched in any season. My question is for those stat guru guys out there but how is Curfman's 3pt expertise stacking up against other great seasons?

Near the end of last nights game he caught fire, again, then he had the shot where the damn net didn't even move. Just got me thinking. We've had some good ones, Loop, Joda B, Lutz off top of my head but Curfman seems different. Again maybe it's just me having watched him play more or I've only caught the good outings but he's gotta be on pace for some kind of season milestone.
