I know Greed and Oldie do as they take it upon themselves to be offended for other people. Anyone else care about CEO compensation packages?

I've been talking with a huge company whose HQ is located within the North Shore, close walking distance to the stadium and ballpark.

Just curious, while checking out housing prices, what areas within a 30 minute drive (on a normal commute) are the best to look at? Assuming 9 o'clock is west, 12 is north, etc. Looks like there's a couple really nice houses just NW of that area, within blocks, that are a 10 minute drive that are really nice, and I was surprised they were selling for less than $300K. Maybe rifle's thug rap friends live in that area, or all over for that matter, but I was really surprised when looking at some of these older homes that are in top notch condition with outstanding wood work within.

I usually go out early to one of several local places for breakfast. The location I chose this morning had a round table near the window with a view of the nearby mountains. While waiting for my order, I happened to notice that the table had one of the wheelchair/handicapped logos engraved along the edge.

I had always assumed that inside a restaurant, the logo meant that the table was wheelchair accessible, but another diner glared at me and told me that the table was reserved for handicapped. I believe he was incorrect and I didn’t move. What is the correct interpretation of the symbol?

JUCO DL Thomas Lane took an official visit to Marshall this weekend.

Does anyone know whats going on with the point guard position? Are they still looking within the portal, or planning on taking another freshman?

JUCO DL Joshua Valdez will be visiting Marshall tomorrow.

All indications are that he’ll commit during his visit.

Pretty good series on Prime about a rock and roll band forming in the late 60’s/early 70’s for any music geeks like me. Lots of cool period music and scenes. Riley Keough, Elvis’ granddaughter, is the lead character.

Will be fun!

My neighbor had to go to the emergency room and had no one to take him so I volunteered. There was a lengthy wait while I contacted his family and waited for information from the doctors.

While I was sitting in the hospital with nothing to do, I observed the continual stream of people shuffling in and out of the complex. I now know the cause of the health crisis in America. Everyone is too damned fat.

The patients were obese. The patients’ families were obese. So were the doctors, the nurses, the receptionists, and the cleaning staff. What in the world happen to these people?

I know this is West Virginia, but I suspect this is a national problem.

Louisiana won game one today, playing LSU now in the deciding game for a trip to the super regionals. Texas St was eliminated last night by Tx A&M

Lots of projects this spring and I am way behind. Replacing lattice, rebuilding decks, yard work. I haven’t gotten around to mowing the frontage on my property. When I stepped out this morning, nature showed me it had taken care of my chore. Thousands of buttercups (ranuculus bulbous) sparkling in the morning sun. Beautiful.

Commitment?

Receiving some worrying info today that Taylor has indeed decided to enter the portal and leave MU.

Our staff - who put together a very nice NIL package that included $25K in cash, rent for a year and a new truck (while he's at MU) - was apparently just informed today.

I HOPE I'm wrong about this. Hopefully y'all know I'm not one to spread unverified rumors but this one feels like it has some legs.

To be fair, a couple of sources I speak with often and who have deep ties to the program are completely unaware of Taylor deciding to leave.

A few days ago, you posted some pictures of you and a previous girlfriend traveling in Monaco. Other than a slight deer-in-the headlights look, she seemed to be an attractive woman. Dark hair and eyes, and perfect teeth. Nicely dressed.

I am curious as to why she didn’t make the cut and become Mrs Rifle #1. I really need to know about spotting flaws in attractive women. I’m getting older and I fear some silver haired devil will win me over with a pie or a new pair of electric socks then spend all my money. If I lose my fortune, I will be at the mercy of the toothless orderlies at Miss Perloine’s Home for Wayward Geezers. Not a pleasant thought.
