...will play @ Davidson Wednesday night. How long since the MU women have played in the post season? Karen Pelphrey era I believe...
WBI - Women’s Badketball Invitational
Congrats ladies!! Go Herd!!

This will be Marshall’s first postseason appearance since the 2016 WNIT and its first WBI appearance since 2015. Marshall reached the quarterfinals of the tournament that year, defeating Northern Kentucky, 81-79, before falling to Mercer, 73-71.

Big improvement over last season when the former HC left rather suddenly to go back to Arkansas. Hope we are able to recruit well in this program, because like the men, they are losing a lot of scoring to graduation, Gore and others.

Never heard of the WBI, but nice job. This is sort of a pay to play, below the Women's NCAA and the Women's NIT, $10K to host, visiting team gets $7K to cover travel, home team can keep whatever it makes.

The women's team had been way down for the last two years, so maybe this is a sign of getting back up.

Also road teams 3-0 in the opening round games that have gone final....

Anyone notice that, for some strange reason ($$$$$ perhaps) the women's NIT has a Sixty-four team field? I read that FIVE Cusa teams made that tournament in addition to Con. champ Rice being in the NCAA. Believe one more CUSA team besides the Herd made the WBI.
