SHR- Hurricane football

Not only has the NCAA/Supreme Court screwed up college, it is now being played out in the High School level.

The State of WV passed the one time transfer rule and this is the first year in effect. While recruiting has been going on in the past, it is now legal and made easier for schools such as Hurricane. They are basically building an all-star team. Last year they brought in 7 kids, and this year it appears to be close to 14. Sad times we live in as the sense of community/school pride and coaches wanting to develop talent appear to be officially dead.

To give you an idea how crazy that number is, Cabell Midland is considered the school in the area who brings in transfers/recruits. I was told the other day, since 2013 CM has brought in a total of 15.

How is this fair?

Illegal immigrants will be eligible for free college tuition in the state of Minnesota, according to Axios. So let me see if I have this correct. Someone who was born and raised in the state of Minn must pay some ridiculous amount of money to get a degree but someone who has broken the law(either them personally or their parents) gets a free ride?

At what point does the lunacy of the progressive Marist regime reach a tipping point and this "House of Cards," come tumbling down.

Feinstein's Staff Hiding Dementia, Media Playing Along

Rolling Stone has an interesting piece on Diane Feinstein. From the article:

Multiple sources tell Rolling Stone that in recent years Feinstein’s office had an on-call system — unbeknownst to Feinstein herself — to prevent the senator from ever walking around the Capitol on her own. At any given moment there was a staff member ready to jump up and stroll alongside the senator if she left her office, worried about what she’d say to reporters if left unsupervised. The system has been in place for years.
“They will not let her leave by herself, but she doesn’t even know it,” says Jamarcus Purley, a former staffer.

For years. She got so bad that they've had a system in place for years. And the media knew it but just played along:

A familiar pattern would emerge: Feinstein would make an unexpected stance on a bill or policy position, only for her staff to quickly follow up by email to correct the record. It got to the point where reporters would pause before rushing to publish an otherwise-newsworthy declaration because of the inevitability of staff reversing her statement.

Cant start soon enough

Man I really think this most def could be but flat put I honestly think it WILL be one hell of a special season this fall
Maybe im as delusional about Huff as I accuse some of the cats on here being about DD but damn i got a lot of faith in thay guy
Just think on top of being an excellent judge of talent, esp finding diamonds in the rough that can flat out just play football.. I think the guy is a SPECIAL motivator
Yes I agree we occasionally struggle schematically on offense with Clint the Trick and he's had a few growing pains game management wise but this guy strives for greatness and I honestly think he'll reach it...
In 2 years he's had quite possibly MUs highest high and some of our most deflating/biggest collapses (ECU, Bowling Green, UL)
He's overcame some wild circumstances and odd locker-room dynamics to unite w bunch of young men under 1 goal..
I really think we're looking at a double digit win season and maybe just maybe a run at an undefeated season
Im almost def getting ahead of myself here lol but having a guy who can relate his players so well along with all the other attributes makes me awfully optimistic

RFK Jr polling

The polling for RFK Jr against a sitting president from his own party is wild. Currently at 20%.

And 70% of democrats don’t want Joe to run. But the mainstream media acts like JFK Jr doesn’t exist. Before it gets pointed out Joe is an incumbent - major outlets have published articles of potential democrat contenders but they almost always seem to omit Kennedy

Some Basketball Notes

Here are some things that I have heard and wanted to share:

- Taryn Todd, a 6'4" guard from Northwest Florida State College is expected to visit campus on Wednesday, 5/31. I would assume he will be getting some time with the current team to see how he fits in. Todd would be a big get for a team needing to replace a good bit of scoring.

- Kevon Voyles, guard from Maryland Eastern Shore, is expected to visit next week as well. Voyles averaged 12.9 points per game last year and shot 32.6 percent from three point range.

- Ryan Nutter graduates this month and is expected to be here next week as well getting acclimated with the program.

- Walk on Kycen Pruett will also be on campus by the first week of June. He and Nutter will be the only ones on campus, officially, until late June/Early July.

- Pete Moe is not out of the picture yet. There are still some scenarios in which he could land here.

- This staff is in fact working all avenues to replace what has been lost. JUCO, Transfer Portal, and the high school ranks in order to find replacements for Kinsey who graduated, and those that decided to leave.

I will pass along more as I get it, but there is a lot going on!

Baseball Tournament

The SEC leads all conferences with 10 teams in the NCAA baseball tournament. The Sun Belt has four teams (Coastal, Troy, Southern Miss, Louisiana), which is the fifth highest total in a conference.

The Pac 12 had five teams get in including cold-weather programs Washington, Oregon (a former Marshall pitcher's nephew is their star center fielder), and Oregon State.

The Big 10 had three teams get in. Conference USA had two teams (Dallas Baptist and Charlotte), as did the American. The MAC had one (Kent State got screwed and was one of the final four out for an at-large bid).

I don’t believe babies and I can coexist

I eat the majority of my meals at restaurants. It is not that I hate to cook, I don’t like the house smelling like burned food, and I hate cleaning up the mess.

While having breakfast recently, I was seated next to a younger lady who was accompanied by an older lady. Not sure what their relationship was and don’t care, but they had a baby with them who was barely old enough to sit in a high chair.

From the time they were seated until the time I left, the kid cried and bawled. He/she threw food. My table was close enough that I was almost taken out by flying egg yolks. My meal was basically ruined. No peace and quiet with my morning thoughts.

I know that some of you have kids. Do you take them to restaurants? How do you handle kids who can’t be calmed?
